2026 WSCUC Reaffirmation of Accreditation
Starting in 2024, UCR began the reaffirmation of accreditation process with the creation of a timeline, identification of key units and personnel to participate in the process, and obtained feedback from Assessment Advisory Committee. The timeline and process was then shared with campus leadership. From fall 2024 through winter 2026, UCR's ALO lead the process of creating obtaining evidence, creating the self-study, and writing the institution report. Throughout this process, the material was shared with senate committees and leadership, faculty, staff, and campus leadership with multiple rounds of feedback.

As part of UCR's 2026 Reaffirmation of Accreditation visit, the institution went through a period of self-reflection. The result was a comprehensive report that covered all accreditation standards. This report is complete and is available for your review.

At the most recent WSCUC Commission meeting following the visit, the WSCUC Commission will discuss the visit with Chancellor Jack Hu, Provost Elizabeth Watkins, Associate Provost and ALO Ken Baerenklau, and Director of Evaluation and Assessment Omar Safie. Upon completion of the meeting and the Commission's deliberations, WSCUC will their decision on UCR's reaffirmation of accreditation. The action letter will be available here.
