2026 WSCUC Reaffirmation of Accreditation 

Starting in 2024, UCR began the reaffirmation of accreditation process with the creation of a timeline, identification of key units and personnel to participate in the process, and engagement with the Assessment Advisory Committee. The timeline and process were  then shared with campus leadership. From fall 2024 through winter 2026, UCR's ALO led the process of obtaining evidence, creating the self-study, and writing the institution report. Throughout this process, materials were shared with the Academic Senate, Staff Assembly, student leaders, faculty, staff, and campus leadership with multiple rounds of feedback.

As part of UCR's 2026 Reaffirmation of Accreditation visit, the institution went through a period of self-reflection. The result was a comprehensive report that covered all accreditation standards. This report is complete and is available for your review.

After reviewing the materials submitted in February 2026, a WASC Review Team outlined five commendations and sixteen Lines of Inquiry in a videoconference Offsite Review with UCR leadership on April 16, 2026. Below you can view the Offsite Review Summary Lines of Inquiry document.

Offsite Review (OSR) Summary Lines of Inquiry

UCR’s accreditation visit is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27 through Friday, October 30. Below is the overall structure of the visit. Small Group sessions involve UCR participants invited by the Visiting Team to discuss the various Lines of Inquiry (LOI). All members of the campus community are invited to attend an appropriate Open Session, which are identified with date, time, and location.
